Global Estimates of Modern Slavery: Forced Labour and Forced Marriage, 2017 – Executive Summary

An estimated 40.3 million people are in modern slavery. The executive summary of the 2017 Global Estimates of Modern Slavery summarizes the key findings from that report, with a focus on two main issues: forced labour and forced marriage. The estimates are the result of a collaborative effort between Walk Free Foundation and the International Labour Organization (ILO) in partnership with the International Organization of Migration (IOM).
