// Chairman Andrew Forrest, AO

Andrew Forrest is Chairman of Fortescue Metals Group and the Minderoo Foundation. Andrew grew up on a remote Australian cattle station. He built a career creating some of the largest raw material export and infrastructure companies in the world. Andrew spends most his time involved in local and global endeavours to protect and support vulnerable people and communities. In 2017, Andrew was named an Officer in the Order of Australia for his numerous business and philanthropic achievements.

// Founder Nicola Forrest, BA

Nicola Forrest is CEO of the Minderoo Foundation, which she and Andrew founded in 2001.  She is passionate about her continued philanthropic work and she has worked to establish an integrated approach to community development to empower people and communities.  Nicola has been awarded the University of Canberra’s Chancellor’s Award for Services and Philanthropy and was named Western Australian of the Year in the Community category. She is also a member of Prime Minister’s Community Business Partnership, along with ongoing involvement with several other community initiatives.  Nicola is a director of the Minderoo Group and Managing Director of Minderoo Station’s pastoral operations.

// Founder Grace Forrest, BA

Grace is a founder of the Walk Free Foundation and works as a communication strategist on the Global Slavery Index, using on the ground photography and storytelling to create powerful social media content. She has represented the Walk Free Foundation in a variety of venues globally, including the United Nations, and is an Ambassador for the Humanitarian Group and The Freedom Hub. Grace is passionate about the value of the arts and creating social change. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, majoring in International Relations, and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Strategic Communications at the University of Western Australia.
